Our Mission
InterVarsity Jester Ministry is gathering a community of people who desire to see God renew Jester. We pray fervently, study God's word together, and strive to live out God's purpose.
Is IVJM a Church?
No. InterVarsity works in partnership with churches. Here's why:
Many science courses at UT have both a classroom and a laboratory component. The reason is clear. A classroom is a great environment for encountering the basic material in a lecture format; the laboratory is where you learn by putting your knowledge into practice.
Your faith in Jesus is similar. You need both understanding and practice.
We want to help you get involved with a church of your choice, one that can provide you a place to hear expositional Bible teaching, participate in worship, practice the sacraments, and build relationships with an inter-generational family of God.
But too often, we learn a lot about God without ever living out our faith in ways that are transformative and life giving. IVJM will give you the opportunity to do more than just learn about Jesus, but to follow Him by putting your faith into practice in the place that you live.
