Jesus and Peace
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace."
--Jesus in the gospel John, chapter 16
Couldn't we all use more peace in our life? Academic stresses, messed up friendships, family problems, worries about the future, spiritual unrest, the list can go on and on.
At IVJM, we desire to see God renew Jester, and one thing that might look like is the words of Jesus bringing peace into the lives of Jester students.

What is a GIG?
Group. A GIG is a group investigating God. The IVJM Peace GIG is a four-week study of the words of Jesus regarding peace. It is an opportunity for 2 or more people to have a discussion flowing from a passage of Scripture. It is a time for friends to be together, ask questions, and talk honestly about their lives.
Investigating. A GIG is an investigation. It is intended for people who want to "check it out". People in the group don't need to have made a commitment to follow Jesus. And, it is not a group meeting just for conversation; its purpose is to find out more about Jesus from the Bible.
God. A GIG is focused on God. It is intended to help people learn more about Jesus from the eyewitness reports in the Bible. In a GIG, God speaks for himself through his Word, which always calls for our response.
